Reaching the Next Generation

Sanish Maharjan
Sanish Maharjan is a faith-driven, strategic, and deeply relational national leader dedicated to transforming the future of Nepal through the complete development of its next generation. With over a decade of grassroots and national experience in youth leadership, Sanish serves as the National Coordinator of First Priority Nepal and is a key national leader of the NCYC (National Christian Youth Commission). This movement aims to unite, equip, and mobilize youth and emerging leaders across the country.
What He Leads: Vision with Action
First Priority Nepal currently operates 18 strategic youth clubs across 3 provinces, with an ambitious plan to expand into all 7 provinces and, ultimately, every district in Nepal. These clubs function as local mission hubs for youth evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, school outreach, and community transformation. As National Coordinator, Sanish oversees vision strategy, leadership development, capacity building, national mobilization, and strategic partnerships, fostering an environment of innovation, accountability, and lasting impact. Under his leadership, First Priority is growing not only in numbers but also in depth, focusing on guiding youth to become servant leaders, ethical entrepreneurs, and Kingdom influencers in society.

NCYC: A National Movement of United Leaders
As a key national leader in NCYC, Sanish coordinates efforts among provincial and district-level leadership teams, representing a strong national network that includes leaders in all 7 provinces and over 77 districts, impacting more than 8,000 churches directly and indirectly. NCYC acts as a national alliance of churches, denominations, youth movements, and para-church organizations committed to raising godly leaders and involving youth in missions centered on the gospel. Sanish plays a vital role in organizing national gatherings, equipping leadership teams, and creating platforms for unity, collaboration, and vision-sharing across different denominations.
Strategic Partnerships & Para-Church Collaboration
Sanish’s work involves strong collaboration with para-church organizations both nationally and internationally. He believes in the importance of working together instead of isolated ministry. He has formed strong partnerships with churches, organisations, Bible colleges, and global youth ministries to increase training, provide resources, and build leadership pipelines for underserved and unreached areas. His approach is not to duplicate efforts but to connect, inspire, and coordinate—bringing unity where there has often been division.
Passion, Strategy, and Execution
Sanish’s passion is to ensure that every teenager in Nepal has the chance to hear the Gospel, be discipled, and become a Christ-centered leader. He has established a multi-tier leadership training framework that combines biblical discipleship, soft skills, school outreach, campus evangelism, and entrepreneurial development. Through Training of Trainers (ToT), regional leadership retreats, national youth summits, and curriculum contextualization, he makes sure that every strategy is locally owned, culturally relevant, and scalable. A key part of his execution plan includes partnering with universities, local governments, and mission-oriented entrepreneurs to create long-term paths for youth—from school to leadership and social impact.

A Humble Appeal to Global Partners
Sanish leads with humility, integrity, and conviction, understanding that the mission is bigger than any single leader or organization. He finds himself at a crucial point, where the vision is vast, the results are visible, and the need is urgent—especially for prayerful partnerships and financial support from friends and organizations.
One of the most exciting strategies to overcome these barriers has been combining the First Priority club model with sports clubs and camps, such as ultimate frisbee, floorball, and multisport clubs. These settings provide a natural and engaging space to connect with young people, build relationships, and share faith in a way that meets them in their world.
